Bob and I were shipmates on USS MORTON (DD-948) during the Vietnam War.  We were both officers and became close friends. The one thing I remember most about Bob is that he ALWAYS smiled and was absolutely a gentle soul. We traveled together in Japan while visiting . What a fabulous time we shared! My wife Beverly thought a lot of Bob and is equally saddened to learn of his passing.  RIP old pal. You were one of the good ones.
