Robert Van Der Linda

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Van Der Linda, at the age of 91, on Sunday June 28, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years Carol, his son Bobby (Karen), and his two grandchildren, Steven and Stephanie. He was predeceased by his parents, Steven and Sophie Van Der Linda, and his three older siblings, Leonard, Steven Jr, and Joyce Paris.

Bob was a cherished member of his home town, Clifton, NJ where he lived for 62 years. There he was an All-State Winning Football player in his Sophomore and Junior years of high school in 1952 and 1953, and a Past Master of Garfield Lodge F. & A.M. and also Past Patron of Garfield Order Of The Eastern Star. He spent the remainder of his life in Las Vegas with his wife and taking care of his two grandchildren.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 11 O’Clock on July 25th, at Good Samaritan Lutheran Church (8425 W Windmill Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89113). A light repast will be served after the service.
