Robin Hawk passed away peacefully on December 5 after an illness. Robin was born in Atlanta, Georgia and lived her early years there. She attended and worked at both Georgia State University and Emory University. She moved to Las Vegas in the mid 70's, where she spent a large part of her career in real estate before pursuing her passion of breeding exotic birds. An animal lover her entire life, she was also the owner of the For the Birds store and was considered by many to be one of the leading authorities in Nevada on rare and exotic birds. Robin is survived by her sister Allison Spangler, brother-in-law Jack Spangler, niece Kathryn Spangler, and nephew Steven Spangler and his wife Jaclyn, all of Atlanta. Also her friend and neighbor of almost forty years, Jean Laity, and the "Saturday Night Gang," with whom Robin gathered weekly and also celebrated many holidays. Robin's ashes will be buried alongside her parents in Atlanta at a future date
