Rocco Michael Laurita

Rocco Laurita, 77, died on February 21st, 2013. He was born in Long Island City, NY and resided in Bayside, Queens. He was active in community activities including Cubmaster, fundraising and volunteering for his church; he was also a member of the naval reserve. Rocky retired from his position as an Insurance Executive on Wall Street in 1994. Soon after, he and his wife, Sarah relocated to Las Vegas. He was known as a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) master and frequently helped friends with their own DIY projects. Recently, Rocky and his family invested in various theatrical productions. Mr. Laurita is survived by his beloved wife Sarah of 54 years, and two cherished sons, Michael and Robert, and their partners, Alex and Don. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 24th from 3PM - 7PM, located at: Palm Mortuary,1600 South Jones Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89146.

The funeral will be held at Our Lady of Las Vegas on Monday, February 25th at 11AM, located at 3050 Alta Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89107. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in his name to Golden Rainbow: 801 S Rancho Drive #1B, Las Vegas, 89106, or Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Nautica Malibu Triathlon, Dept 8403, Los Angeles, CA 90084-8403.
