Rodney G. Cobb, of North Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. He was born August 21, 1953 in South Bend, Indiana and had been a resident of Nevada for nine years, after retiring from the Los Angeles City Fire Dept. as a Firefighter/Paramedic. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy as a Corpsman. Rodney is survived by a son, Major Llonie A. C. Cobb, of the USMC, of North Carolina, and a daughter, Kilah K. T. Cobb, currently teaching in Japan; his parents, David A. and Lorraine Cobb, Jr. of Hawthorne, CA; a sister, Iris J. Goins of North Las Vegas; three brothers, Michael A. Cobb of Walnut, CA, Dr. Steven R. Cobb of Diamond Bar, CA, and Richard L. Cobb of Los Angeles, CA; three grand-daughters, (Chloe, Nia and Kaia Cobb) five God-Kids: Michael Goudeau of Davis, CA, Darchell Guidry of Los Angeles, CA, Melvin Tolbert of Riverside, CA, Tavares Thompson of Davis, CA, and Dante Harris of Gardena, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. in Inglewood, CA, on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
