

Roger Arlo Cole of Ipswich, South Dakota, passed away in his Las Vegas Nevada home February 6, 2025. Leaving behind are his Adult children: Craig A. Cole, Cheryl A. Cole, and Brenda M. Hood along with grandchildren: Nickie A. Cole, Kyle Hood, Weston Hood, Robbie Hood, Valley Hood and many great grandchildren/great great grandchildren. Roger would have been 93 years old this August. He Lived a very full life! He grew up in the small town of Ipswich SD, where he met and married the love of his life (Roberta) on October 11, 1951. In the early 1960's Roger and Roberta moved west to California with young Craig for a better life. Along the way they had two daughters' Cheryl and Brenda. They resided in Goleta where Roger started working for Hughes Aircraft at Hughes research center.
A kid from South Dakota with a high school education rising to a director level in a major aerospace company (Hughes Aircraft). His work was so successful that the upper management transferred his work to Santa Barbara for production. His production boss Paul Cha and a longtime friend could see the wisdom of his vision. Roger's dream generated millions of dollars for the company in years to come. He was a real rock star! When he retired he couldn't be done working. He was obsessed with reverse osmosis systems.He could make everything he touched better. He lived for his children and grandchildren. Loved the stock market! Throughout his life he loved to take his kids on camping trips where they would go boating and water skiing. Roger would give you the shirt off his back. HE WAS A VERY HUMBLE MAN
