

ROGER PRYOR Roger L. Pryor, 78, of Las Vegas, left us April 28, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. Roger was born Feb. 25, 1937, to Francis and Babe Pryor in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Roger is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carol; daughters, Kathy (Kass) Virgin and Tiffinni Pryor; stepdaughter, Tammy Thompson; son-in-law, Mike Thompson; brother, Robert; sister-in-law, Mary Pryor; sister, Donna; brother-in-law, Billy Messick; grandchildren, Jamie and Charlie Ducas, JoAnna Virgin, Tyler Virgin, Michael and Kelsey Thompson, Stephanie and Chris Veldman, Cami (Curly) and Brandon Lesicka; and great-grandchildren, Aiden and Ari Ducas, Ryder, Kason and Matix Thompson, Kyleigh and Kendyl Veldman and Aspen Lesicka. Roger grew up on a farm in Knoxville, Mo. He married his high school sweetheart, Judith Ann Misel, in 1955 and moved to Kansas City. In 1959, they had their daughter, Kathy Lynn. Roger worked for TWA and was transferred to Las Vegas in 1960. He worked for TWA for 17 years. Roger married Suzanne Purnell in 1965. They had their daughter, Tiffinni Lynn, in 1969. They owned the Interliner Bar on Paradise Road for four years. Roger and his dad built his beautiful custom dream house in 1976 on W. Desert Inn Road. He opened Roseland Florist on W. Charleston Blvd. in 1979. In 1992, Roger married Carol Graham. He started Roger Pryor Enterprises doing plant rentals and conventions. In 1998, he sold it and retired. It was time to relax and travel. For 17 years, Roger and Carol enjoyed camping, boating, the beach, road trips and cruises, but most of all they enjoyed each other. Roger was a loving, kind husband, father, grandfather and friend. He worked hard and was a perfectionist; he took pride in everything he did. He is missed but will never be forgotten.
