He was born on October 21st, 1947 in Stargard, Poland to Jan and Maria Mielnik. He had two older brothers, Teodor and Zenon. He was married to Maria Sochanowska in Police, Poland on October 7th 1972 whom he had met while they were both employed at the Chemical Plant in Police where he was an electrician and she was a bookkeeper. He attended technical school in Szczecin, Poland and received his Electrician’s certification in 1974. They had a son in 1981 named Grzegorz and the whole family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada on December 16th, 1987.
He enjoyed many years working as an electrician in and around Las Vegas until his retirement in February 2010. He greatly enjoyed drawing, calligraphy, sculpting, photography and woodworking. He also had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, and visiting new places. He was a great husband, amazing father and a most beloved grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Zenon. He is survived by his brother Teodor, his wife, Maria, his son, Greg and his beloved grandkids, Connor and Kylie.
Visitation will be held at Palm Northwest at 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131 on Saturday December 29th between 3pm and 7pm.
