

Ronald Richard Creamean, known to many as Ron, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024 at the age of 87 in Las Vegas. Born in Streator, IL on May 2, 1937 to Margaret (Sabol) and Steve Creamean. Ron spent his formative years in Streator.
Ron graduated from Streator High School in 1955 and earned a business degree from Northern Illinois University. On August 20, 1960, Ron and Kay (Van Buren) were married at Saint Mary’s church in Streator.
In 1962, Ron embarked on a career in accounting at Peat Marwick CPA firm. In 1968, he entered the Hyster lift truck business at M.H. Equipment Company-where he was eventually promoted to vice president and chief financial officer. In 1998, Ron retired. He and Kay moved to Las Vegas. Ron worked for AEG at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace for sixteen years-where he was often placed at the directional position since he was such a people person.
Ron is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, and their two children-Gregory of Washington D.C. and Julie of Las Vegas. He also is survived by his siblings, Norma Stasell of Plainfield Illinois, Steve Creamean of Henderson, Nevada and Patsy Hawthorne of Janesville, Wisconsin-along with her husband, Mark. He was also blessed with several nieces and nephews.
Ron’s greatest interest was sports, specifically baseball. He was recruited by the White Sox minor leagues in Hollywood, FLA in 1956. Ron also enjoyed golfing with friends. In his later years, he found entertainment in yard work and gardening.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral mass at 11am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton in Summerlin on Monday, December 2, 2024-which will be preceded by a rosary recited @ 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
