Rosario Brugada Papa

Rosario Brugada Papa was born on October 6, 1957, in the small town of Tinambac, Camarines Sur, Philippines. She was the youngest of nine children born to Bonifacio and Marina Brugada.

From an early age, Rosario was blessed with a deep and abiding faith in God. Her Catholic faith was not simply a part of her life—it was the foundation upon which she lived. She found strength, peace, and joy in her relationship with the Lord and remained devoted to her Catholic faith throughout her life.

After graduating from high school, Rosario pursued a career as a professional hairstylist. It was while working as a beautician that she met the love of her life, Mr. Ben Lina Papa. The two married and eventually moved to San Diego, California. There, they built a beautiful life together while raising their three sons.

Rosario was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, sister, and friend. All while working at National Pen in assembly, where she helped build motherboards for F-14 fighter jets, and then for Abbot Industries assembling medical equipment. Rosario took great pride in her work and worked tirelessly to help provide for her family, yet no matter how busy life became, she always made time for the things that mattered most; her family, her faith, and her relationship with God.

Her Catholic faith was especially evident in her devotion to daily Mass. She faithfully attended Mass at her parish, finding comfort and strength in the Eucharist and in the presence of our Lord. Prayer was an important part of her life, and she carried her faith with her in the way she loved and cared for others.

In 2004, the Papa family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she and Ben settled in a quiet suburb, while continuing her career at Crill Marketing.

To know Rosario was to know a woman whose faith was expressed through love. Her heart was filled with generosity and compassion. She was always ready to offer someone food, a warm smile, a kind word, or a heartfelt compliment. She had a special gift for making people feel valued, welcomed, and loved. Her kindness was a reflection of the love of Christ that lived within her.

On Thursday, September 10, 2026, Rosario was called home to the loving arms of our Lord. We pray with faith and confidence that she has been welcomed into eternal life, where there is no more suffering, no more sorrow, and no more pain.

We take comfort knowing that Rosario was reunited in Heaven with her parents, Bonifacio and Marina; her siblings Rebecca, Ligaya, Junior, Cesar, Rogelio, and Manuel; her niece Ritchie Bright; and her nephew Horace Williams, Jr.

Rosario leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, Mr. Ben Papa; her three sons, Dino, Jamul, and Arik, dauther-in-law, Ashley; her beloved grandson, Aiden; her sisters, Liza Walker, brother-in-law Robert and Lourdes Williams, brother-in-law, Horace; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Although our hearts are heavy with the pain of her passing, our faith reminds us that death is not the end, but a passage into eternal life with God. We entrust Rosario to the mercy and loving care of our Heavenly Father, knowing that she lived her life with faith, love, generosity, and devotion.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom Rosario held close in her Catholic faith, intercede for her and gently lead her into the presence of her Son, Jesus Christ.

Eternal rest grant unto Rosario, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon her.

May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, US, on September 16, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
