Rose Carol Horton Dreighton

God called our dear beloved mother home on September 25, 2015. Rose Carol Dreighton was born in Wilson County, North Carolina on August 7, 1947 to the late James and Dewallis Horton. She graduated from Dillard High School in Goldsboro North Carolina, class of 1965. Rose was a dedicated and hardworking loan processor at One Nevada Credit Union of Las Vegas for the past 31 years. She was also a Mark Kay Consultant of Las Vegas. She was an Eastern Star of the Wilder’s Chapter #34 in Kenly, North Carolina since 1975. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Leroy M. Dreighton; daughter Cassandra L. (Brenton) Earley and son, Richie (Nina) Dreighton. She was a proud and loving grandmother, affectionately known as “Suga Momma” by her five granddaughters and one grandson; Brianna, LaRina, Aaliyah, Tayla, Ciara and Elijah. Rose has five surviving sisters; Edna (Willie) Jacobs, Edith Cox, Mary Deloris Williams, Deborah Hunter, and Johnnie Horton and two preceding in death; Odessa Horton and Catherine Lewis a host of other close relatives, dear friends, co-workers, and classmates. The wake will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at HAMILTON FUNERAL HOME in Goldsboro, NC. Viewing will take place 3-6PM. Home going celebration: Saturday October 3, 2015 at Rocky Branch Church, Kenly, NC at 12PM.
