

Rose Marie Princ, 83, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away August 18, 2016. She was born February 5, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to her parents Augusta Moline and Rose Butala. A native of the Chicago area, Rose Marie graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Rosary College. She continued her studies at Loyola, De Paul, and Northwestern and earned advanced degrees from the University of Chicago and Northern Illinois University. She met and married the love of her life, Josef on June 22, 1963. Although they never shared children of their own; together, Rose Marie and Josef established the R. M. Princ Scholarship and the Josef Prince Scholarship for many students going on to college. For the students that she helped; Rose Marie inspired them to give back to others when they could. Rose Marie taught at the Nazareth Academy for 7 years, J. Sterling Morton for 27 years, where she also served as an administrator for 14 years. Upon retirement, Rose Marie joined the Illinois Retired Teachers Association and served on the Executive Board, as well as Treasurer and President of her local Chapter. Upon relocating with her husband to Las Vegas, Rose Marie continued to actively serve in her new community within numerous organizations. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
