My Aunt Ruby was more than an aunt to me. She was like an older sister somebody I can always turn to for encouragement and as a nurse, she was a very good source to go to for medical advice as children she would always come to Pittsburgh, her uncle Jesse, Junie and Brian. It was always good to see them and when Aunt Ruby would take us back to New York City., that was the best time of my life as a kid. 
As I got older, me and Aunt Ruby would always exchange stories and I could go to her with some of my personal problems and she was always very encouraging. She always told me not to feel bad for making the decisions that I have made and always be comfortable, with all the decisions that you have made throughout life. My Aunt Ruby would always tease me because as a child I was allergic to many things and she would take me to different restaurants and order things she knew I couldn’t eat just to hear me say, “I’m allergic” and she would always say that to me with a big smile on her face. 
We would always have very lengthy telephone conversations about everything even up until the time she couldn’t call me anymore. I will never forget my Aunt Ruby‘s encouragement, her voice and just as a beautiful person. She’s a type of a person she didn’t pull any punches she spoke her mind, but she was the best person to have in your corner and time of need. Like I said there’s so many things and not enough time that I would like to mention, but I love my Aunt Ruby all the times I will come visit her. She let me in a friend of mine come from DC to stay at her apartment so we can go to Central Park and see George Clinton concert and she would always seem to be more concerned about everybody else except her own. That’s just how she was beautiful heart big heart. I’m gonna miss you, Aunt Ruby, but I’ll always keep you in my heart and in my memory.
