
There are so many wonderful memories to share about Tito Rody that I will miss. We would talk about the latest and greatest Tennis Racquets when he use to visit me at work. Phone calls just to see how I was doing when I lived in Vegas and always checking up on my mom when she wasn’t well.  Hearing the conversations between him and my dad were priceless. Watching and coaching our basketball games when we use to play with my cousins. His countless Jokes. He just always brought so much joy when he was around. Thank you Tito Rody and Tita Linda for opening up your home when we arrived in the US. I will cherish all these memories. Thank you for attending the last show I performed at. To Tita Linda, Ivan, Roland, and Bing, Agnes and I send you our deepest condolences and we are all here for you. He is now reunited with all our family members that have gone before us. 

Tito Rody may be watching from wherever he is right now, smiling and patting himself for a job well done as a family man.  He must be happy and proud to see his boys finding comfort from each other, looking out and taking care of their mom.  Seeing his family this way, will make Tito Rody peaceful in his final resting place.

To Ivan, Roland and Bingbing.... Just a few words from your Ate Caren..... Continue to cherish the memories that you have shared with your dad.  Make these memories bond you together.  Imprint in your hearts, the lessons your dad has taught you and pass them on to your children. This, I think, will be your best gift for your dad.

Always take care of your mom. ❤️

Looking at the pictures and watching the movie video, I did not realize that you were such a Family man. So many family gatherings and celebrations always surrounded by your apos. You were always present in their graduations and sporting events. You were always carrying one of your apos looking so proud. You were loved by your family and you will always be an integral part of their lives .For me that is your enduring legacy.

We are honored and grateful to have my Tito Rody and Tita Linda as our Godparents in our wedding.  I will forever treasure his words of wisdom.   He worked hard and lived his life to the fullest.    I’m glad I had a chance to talk to him two weeks before he passed.  He was tired from the sound of his voice, but took the time to ask how everyone was doing.  That was my uncle, he was a caring,  loving man and always looked out for everyone.   You will be missed dearly.

Tito Rudy and my Dad Rick worked together many years ago. Some of my best childhood memories growing up was spending weekends with the Abundo family at their home. Ivan, Roland and Bing Bing were like my brothers. I remember Tita Linda telling my mom about this “new kitchen appliance” that they just bought. It was called a microwave. Such a great time. When life was simple and we didn’t have things like COVID to worry about. Rest in peace, Tito Rudy. Tita Linda, I’m so very sorry for your immense loss of the love of your life. To my honorary brothers, I’m so truly sorry for the loss of your amazing Dad. He was a wonderful man with a great smile and beautiful heart. Sending my love to the entire Abundo family.❤️🙏🏼😔

We remember the first time we really got to know both Rudy and Linda when visiting Las Vegas in December.  We were overwhelmed  with Rudy's warmth and openness.    We also were touched by every conversation with Rudy - it was always about taking care of and giving to others - for his kids, for Linda, for grandkids, and for us as guests and friends.   We were thankful and humbled to be a part of that adopted family.

We were truly blessed for our lives to be touched by Rudy.  We will miss him.

I remember my first visit with your son to your house. You welcome me in your home for a celebration during the summer.  It was  first experience eating homemade tamales. Rodolfo will always be remember for welcoming into his home and transcending his warmth to his son and his son’s family.  Please accept my condolences. 

Papa,

It’s so hard to believe you’re gone. I will miss so many things about you. I’ll miss you making me laugh with the jokes you told. I’ll miss you “printing money” in your closet on Christmas. I’ll miss your pancit. Nobody makes it perfectly every time like you. One thing I do know is you lived life fully until the end. You still played tennis, chatted with friends daily, and still told jokes and played pranks all the time. I’m so thankful that you were able to see me graduate and achieve goals in my life. I’m thankful that I got to spend the last month of your life with you almost everyday. Thank you for all you’ve done and for giving Roo an amazing life in Vegas.  Roo and I miss you and love you so much.

My father-in-law was one of the sweetest and gentlest man whom I’ve been so blessed to call Papa. My best memory of him was seeing all of his grandkids, from the moment they were born, automatically gravitate to their Papa. He was always a great source of comfort for them as babies, even as teens and adults. They shared many talks, inside jokes and lots of laugh.  He was such a special soul, in his quiet, humble and gentle ways. His love and legacy will live on through his amazing sons and grandchildren.  We love you so much, Papa, you will always be in our hearts!!

I am so thankful that I have gotten to know my Papa for the first 18 years of my life. I will miss his fried rice breakfasts at the house and our trips to the casino buffets. I will always admire his calm demeanor and wise words.

I lost the man of my life for over 58 years.  Though he suffered from his illness for only 6 weeks, I dearly miss his presence.  My life is incomplete without him.   Living without him in my life is imperceivable,   So short are the 58 years of togetherness we've had,  I will cherish the memories he gave me.   I wish I could have more time with him.  I will mourn him the rest of my life and look forward to the day we will be together again in Heaven.  He was very supportive and loving, the best husband and father anyone can ask for. His morals, guidance and integrity has been instilled into our 3 sons and their families.  I will miss him so much everyday, anywhere, everywhere the rest of my life.  Losing the man of my life has been the most difficult moment of my life.  For the sake of my three sons and their families, with their unending love and support, I will try to keep myself well with the help of God.

Tito Rody, it’s still hard to believe that you are now in heaven. I will always remember your jokes and your warm smile.  Thank you for welcoming our family when we first arrived in the U.S. I have fond memories of your Bellflower home.  Thank you also for visiting Mom even when she no longer recognized you. I know it was hard for you to see her like that but you always made the effort to visit.  I know she felt your presence. Tita Linda will miss you the most but I know you will always be with her. I know that Lolo, Lola, Tito Boy, Tita Cora and Mom and Dad all welcomed you with open arms and for that I  comforted. You will be forever in our hearts . We love you very much! 

Tito Rody, ever since I was little I looked up to you. You always had this regal aura whenever you’re in the room… you always stood tall, always so well-dressed (even in your jogging suits). You were so serious and so funny at the same time… only those who knew you would understand what I mean. I will always remember how when you smiled, you smiled with your eyes too. 

Thank you for welcoming my mom in your home whenever she needed a vacation.  I’m grateful you two shared those fun casino days. 

Sherwin and I will always remember the time we met with you and tita for some Chinese food. I think the 4 of us ordered food for 10.    It will go down as one of my favorite meals.  You will be missed by so many. Rest in peace and please say hi to my dad for me up in heaven. 

Mr. Abundo was such a wonderful man.  I met him when his son Rudy lived next door, and he and Mrs. Abundo were always so welcoming and kind.  They raised the kids and helped with the grand kids, and demonstrated love always.

May God's perpetual light shine upon him and may he Rest In Peace!


Dad, I will forever miss you! You face is imprinted in my mind and I think of you often and all the wonderful things you did for me and the family.  I am comforted knowing you walked in the presence of our Savior at your last  moments of life.  I am greatly at peace that you are with Lolo, Lola, Tita Itas, Tita Cora and Tito Boy.  Have a great feast with our heavenly family.  We dearly miss your presence.  I love you Eternally Dad!
