Russell (Russ) Lance Robertson of Las Vegas, Nevada was born December 23, 1937 in Springfield, Illinois. He passed away January 22, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Russ was adopted by his foster parents, Leon and Myrtle Robertson. Russ married the love of his life, Hannelore (Lori), in Heidelberg, Germany in 1957 while stationed in the army as a Sargent SP5 before settling in Saginaw, Michigan. They have had 62 wonderful years together. He was the beloved father of Gabriele (Jeffrey) Philka of Novi, Michigan and Daniel Robertson of Jackson, Mississippi. He was “Papa” to his grandchildren Rachel, Matthew, Andrew, Michael, Timothy, Anthony, and Breonna. He grew up in Indian River, Michigan and lettered in four sports at Inland Lakes High School. Being an avid golfer, even achieving a hole-in-one, he and Lori retired in Sugar Springs, Michigan over-looking the golf course. He was a lover of the outdoors from the river to the woods, including the mountains after making his full-time home in Las Vegas. He especially loved travel and showing friends and relatives around making sure they got the most out of their visit.

Charitable donations can be made in Russ’ honor to: Parkinson’s Foundation and/or Wounded Warriors.

Lori and Family: I was so sad to hear about the passing of Russ. Loretta and I, before her passing, always enjoyed visiting and playing golf, gambling and eating out with them in Las Vegas and Sugar Springs. He fought hard, as was his nature, to overcome his illness, as did Lori before it took him. I will miss him and so will all who knew him.

Lori, Gabby, Jeff and grandkids we are so very sorry to hear of Russ’s passing. We have wonderful memories of visiting them in Vegas and assisting them in sorting out items that needed to be moved with them when they moved from Sugar Springs. Kim always enjoyed helping them with small jobs and enjoying a beer with Russ afterwards. Two very dear and special friends to both of us. We will continue to pay a visit to Lori when we go to Vegas. Love and prayers to all of you. Kim and Debbie

Lori and the Robertson Family: I am so sorry for your loss. I only was able to meet you and Russell a couple of times prior to purchasing your home on Greensboro Way. I enjoyed your company during our meetings and have often thought of you both since living here. No words can not adequately express my feelings. Please accept my condolences regarding Russ's passing
