Ruth Helen Betley (Welnicki) maiden name Hilgendorf age 90, passed away at her home in Nevada , surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 28th 2014. Ruth was born on February 29th 1924 in Cuyahoga County< Berea Ohio to Fred and Viola Hilgendorf. She was preceded in Death by her Dad Fred Hilgendorf and Her Mom Viola Hilgendorf, her husband Edward Welnicki, 1 sister Wilma Minger, Sons Edward Welnicki and Fred Welnicki, I daughter Kathy Thacker. Ruth is survived by 1 brother Fred Hilgendorf of Texas 1 sister Ethel Gross Of Ohio, 3 daughters Michele Ruth Dodd of Nevada, Susan Viola Shust of Ohio and Patricia Ann Foley of Escondido, California. Ruth is also survived by her son-in-law Steve Dodd. Grandchildren include Ruth Davis, Mary Maury and Daniel Thacker all of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Paul Shust, Maria Morales (Shust) and Mark Shust, and Tammy Shust all of Ohio. Granddaughter Shannon Marie Liles (Dodd) and Son in Law Terry Liles of Nevada. Michael Steven Dodd of Texas, Melisa Gibson of North Carolina Jaqueline Kelly of Escondido, California and a very dear friend Robert Atkins. Ruth was a homemaker she was a Christian Woman who loved to read her bible daily, she loved her family and grandchildren unconditionally. She lived life to the fullest always having a nice word for everyone. She had a heart of gold, always willing to help others in need. She loved bowling reading and painting. She always said God Never shuts one door without opening another. Until we meet again always in our hearts. Graveside services will be held on Saturday July 25th 2014. @ 12:00 noon. At Palm Northwest Mortuary and Cemetary 6701 North Jones Boulevard Las Vegas, Nevada. 89131. Family and Friends will meet in the lobby to escort Ruth to her final Resting place.
