Scott Paul Rice passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2013. Scott was President and owner of Walker Crane LLC, a family owned business in Las Vegas. Scott is survived by his wife of 16 years, Melody Walker Rice, his children, Kalista, Kristian, Kaden and Kaitlyn, his mother, Connie Rice of Las Vegas, his father, Paul Rice of South Jordan, Utah, his sister Bree Lauenstein and her husband Troy of Overton, Nevada, as well as extended family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. Scott was born on December 2, 1974, in Rock Springs, Wyoming. His family moved to Las Vegas when he was three years old and he has resided there since that time. He married his best friend and sweetheart, Melody, on January 10, 1997. Together they took over the family business, Walker Crane, LLC, and have been running it since 2004. Scott will be remembered as a generous person, always donating time and money to the less fortunate or a friend in need. He had a true love for those who served in the military and could often be seen shaking the hand of someone in uniform and telling them “Thank you for your service”.
Visitation will be from 11- 12noonon Tuesday, June 4, 2013 with services following, both at the Highland Hills Stake Center located at 3350 W. Alexander Rd. Burial will be at Palm Cemetery-Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd in Las Vegas.
