Seantel Anthony Leggard was the 5th of six siblings born to Neil Lawrence Sr. and Ruth Ann Leggard on October 1,1983 at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. To all that knew him, he was affectionately known as Sean.
Sean attended P.S. 327, Junior High School 263, and Thomas Jefferson High School, all in his beloved hometown of Brooklyn, New York.
There came a time in his childhood that Sean’s mother and father did part ways. His mother re-married some years later to Mr. Kenneth Brodie who moved the family to Los Vegas, Nevada.
It was from an early age that Sean showed a passion for the arts — especially dancing and drawing. In the 3rd grade, his unforgettable performance as Michael Jackson in a school talent show made him a local celebrity, a moment that would be talked about for years to come.
Sean was known for his flashy smile, sharp hairline, and a clean outfit to “Stay Fly” as he was known to say. He had a deep love of music and movies, with one of his favorite artists being his fellow Brooklynite Jay-Z. Sean could often be heard weaving the rapper’s lyrics into his everyday conversation; a habit that became part of his charm.
Sean had an uncanny ability to make you smile in his presence with an incredible sense of humor and timing. Due to the creative artist in him he had an unwavering memory and a keen interest in entertainers’ lives and legacies.
Sean was working toward turning his lifelong passion for drawing into a career. His first creative job came when he designed a logo for his big brother’s company; a project that marked the beginning of a new journey. Sean’s journey in life took him from Brooklyn, then to Vegas, Texas, Arizona, and then back to New York, and finally landing him back in Vegas.
Throughout his life, Sean held many differing jobs; always bringing his hard work and dedication nearer to the path that he was walking on. Sean always saw the best in people. He never judged others, as he himself fiercely did not want to be judged.
Above all, Sean was a loving father, doting brother, and loyal friend.
On June 10th, 2026, Seantel was called home after experiencing a sudden and unexpected emergency in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sean is preceded in death by his father, Neil Lawrence Leggard Sr. and mother Ruth Ann Brodie as well as his daughter, JaZmine.
He is survived by his brothers Neil Jr., Lamar Sr., Eric, and Philip; his sisters Gwendolyn and Tempest; his children, Donovan, Jayden, Jordin, and Jazzlynn; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
