Obituary of Sestia Mae Leppek

Sestia Mae Leppek went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 17th 2022.

She was 91 years old.

Sestia married Robert Leppek on October 20, 1951. They made their home in Salt Lake

City, Utah until 1977 when they moved to Las Vegas,Nevada.

Sestia and Bob were active members at St Ambrose Parish in Salt Lake City, it was there where Sestia became very active in CCD and in the Catholic Charismatic Movement in the 70’s. She enjoyed the many workshops and seminars she attended with her group of women friends from St Ambrose. Sestia also worked at Zion’s Bank, Fashion Fabrics, Home Health Agencies and Vegas Village. She loved learning, going to the library and teaching others. Sestia also enjoyed figure skating, sewing, flower gardening and cheesecake!

She loved the Lord and was a fierce advocate for the down and out. She enjoyed sharing what she had to help others.

She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob); sons, Larry (Helen), North Dakota and David (Tina), California; daughters, Gloria (Tom), South Carolina and Mary, Nevada; sister, Mildred Wikoff, Kansas; four Grandsons, Daniel Leppek, Andrew Yugel, Joey Goodwill and Tony Leppek; three Granddaughters, Buffy Brett, Abbey Galindo and Molly Leppek; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Ruth Werham; a brother, Harry Kalb Jr, and a grandson Luke Leppek.

Sestia will be buried at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.

In celebration of Sestia’s life well- lived, her family will be remembering a memory of days past, and enjoying a time of ice skating under the stars on December 26, 2022
