Shari J Steffens

Shari Steffens, 70, of Las Vegas, NV, went home to be with the Lord May 19, 2013. She was born February 2, 1943 in Chicago, IL, to Don and Amanda (Eggars) Powell who preceded her in death. She was married to her devoted husband James B. Steffens for over 50 years. Jim and Shari were high school sweethearts, they met on a very special day in 1957, 2-17 will always be our lucky number. Shari worked as a nurse for Doctor Paul Prager in Chicago, IL, franchise owner of Bryan’s Florist in St. John, IN, and Senior Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens in Las Vegas, NV. Shari was a member of St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of Martha & Mary’s Women's Club and a Catechist of Scripture. Shari is survived by her husband Jim, children Tom Steffens (Sandy), Kim Morton (Jeff), Bryan Steffens (Julie), Daryle Steffens (Pam) & Tracey Domiter (Richard); sisters, Sue Jaskolski (Joe), Jackie Campbell (Chuck) & Cyndi Wiedeman (Tom) and 15 grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10:00 am. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 2575 W El Campo Grande Ave., North Las Vegas, NV 89031 (702) 657-0200.
