She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lee Robert Miller, her sister Pamela Berlanga, her brother Joseph Patrick O’Brien (Rick, wife Valerie O’Brien), her children Julie Hurley and Steven Miller (wife Heather Miller), as well as her five grandchildren.
Sharon graduated high school and a few years later, traveled to Japan with a girlfriend for vacation. It was there that Sharon met the love of her life, Lee Robert Miller (Bobby). Bobby was stationed at Misawa, Japan Air Force Base and was traveling back home after being honorably discharged. When asked how they met, Sharon would always say she attended Bobby’s going away party in Japan and he followed her back to California because he was in love.
Sharon and Bobby were married on December 26, 1969 had welcomed their first daughter, Julie Hurley (Miller) in July of 1970, and then welcomed their first son, Steven Miller, in April 1973.
For those that knew Sharon, it was immediately evident the tremendous love she had for her family. Her proudest moment was when she became the grandmother to 5 wonderful grandchildren, Trevor Hurley (26), Brendon & Bryce Hurley (24), Peyton Miller (25), and Tanner Miller (22).
Sharon loved spending time at the many sporting events for her grandchildren and was so very proud of each of them. Whether she was attending their football, basketball, baseball, soccer games, or swim meets, she was always their #1 fan. Sharon also loved playing her Deuces Wild Slot Machine and was one lucky Irish woman.
Sharon is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was a true dog lover and had many pets throughout her life. Her two most recent beloved dogs, Max and Maverick, will miss her dearly.
Sharon worked at Mountain View Hospital for 25 years and served as the Coordinator of the Cardiac Rehab Department. There, she had the pleasure of working with many wonderful people through the years and she was very grateful for the friendships she developed with many of them.
