

Camille (Griffin) Nishinaka, 63, was born in St. Louis. She is the daughter of Loree Myers (husband, Peter) and Quentin Griffin, father (deceased). Camille is a sister to four siblings, Brenda, Martini, Sherwood and Quentin (deceased). Camille was the mother of one daughter, Sumayah (deceased). She also has two grandchildren. All of the family lives in California except Brenda, who resides in Memphis, Tenn. Camille spent many years as a resident of Las Vegas, where she led a rich spiritual life and enjoyed close friendships that she cherished. As a seasoned world traveler and flight attendant employed by American Airlines, Camille served her fellow man daily with exuberance and joy. She delighted in her divine assignment as a flight attendant and missionary to the world. Camille was truly a citizen of the world; visiting the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, often. Camille thrived; her love of diversity in the hearts of the people that she served was unmatched. She was fun and helpful, while her eyes always found the strength to constantly speak to everyone. Camille lived life fully imbued with abounding grace, glad to be alive, loving and giving to her church family and all who had need of her. Camille was magnetic with great faith. What an inspiration she was to know and watch. She lived in extraordinary ovation from the depths of her heart to God. June 4, 2011, Camille transitioned to "The City of Love," God's eternal restful place and home for her. We will celebrate Camille's magnificent journey; her eternal heart-affair of love with Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior and Head of her life noon-7 p.m. Friday July 8, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Funeral service will be at noon Saturday, July 9, at the International Church of Las Vegas, 8100 Westcliff Drive, a reception will follow. Burial will take place at Palm Memorial Park - Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
