Happy Blessed Anniversary to the late but great Rev. Shaun Ball who exchange this home life to enter into his eternal home life. His presence is truly missed along with his pleasant disposition. He was truly a blessing while ministering at Fountain Of Hope A.M.E. Church. On his last Sunday at the FOHAMEC and he administered the prayer, a touch of Heaven filled the sanctuary.  I know that to be absence from the body down here and being terribly missed. I know that you are rejoicing with the Lord in Heaven, your eternal home. Love to Monique and the entire family on his first year in Heaven.

I apologize for my absence in Shaun's homegoing, visiting with Shaun's love of his life (Wife, babies , Mother, sisters and brother).  I'm here and will be available to anything the family may need no matter what it is.  
I'm going to miss the BABY in the family that has the personality that keeps us together with laughter, praising the Lord and love.   Shaun is embedded in my heart, mind and soul.  For someone that serves the Lord as infectious as Shaun, gaining his wings was something Shaun  worked hard for and God honored US all with giving them to him.  
May the love of God continue to connect us in honor of Shaun.  You will be truly missed but forever loved.

CONDOLENCE TO THE FAMILY OF
REV. SHAUN BALL

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.  And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold I make all things new.” (Rev. 21:4-5)

It is hard to realize the essence of this day, but there you are, assembled to say your final farewell to your beloved.  Though we cannot be in person, with you, St. Mark’s AME -Topeka, KS, shares your grief, and feels the pain of loss, as Shaun transitions from mortality into the immortal halls of everlasting life.  How dreadfully he will be missed by his family, friends, many from the AME Church connection, and the scores of people that he has met along life’s journey.  

To you dear family I want to encourage you, during this time, to embrace your faith.  Remember all the things that we have been taught to believe about eternal life, and let it cover you and be your refuge as you go through the exposure, of this painful reality, that your beloved has left this ole world for the infinite place of God’s, where he will receive his calling for his eternal life. 

Cry if you must, tears are tremendous testimonies of your love, in due season, they will turn into found memories that will make you smile, each time you think of Shaun.  Grieve, if you must, for to lament at a time such as this is a natural course to take when death carries our loved ones away.  But grieve as those who believe that life is eternal, and your beloved, though gone, has not cease to be.  In fact, today, remember Shaun is more alive than we are, and starting the life, that we should all be aspiring toward!   Know that you are in our heartfelt prayers.  If you ever need us, please call on us.

We are so sorry that we could not be there to help you celebrate this occasion because Shaun has always been there for all of us.  Everyone loved the "Baby " for  44 wonderful years and as much as we loved him God loved him more. So when God called Shaun had no choice but to answer. God bless you all. I am so sorry for your loss.  I always loved any contact I had with Shaun . When I started what was to become one of my favorite jobs, Shaun was a ray of light in welcoming me aboard and helping me learn my job.  He was such a kind and loving person, and good example for others.  He had a great sense of humor and a wonderful smile which revealed how happy he was.  I will miss giving him a hard time about his Duke basketball, Roll Tide, and Dodgers posts on FB.  I know he will be so deeply missed by so many. ❤️🙏

Shaun was the best friend anyone who was lucky enough to meet him could ever have. I had the privilege of working with him as I was a student social worker, and he quickly became someone I knew I could trust to hold space with compassion and kindness every time.

One thing I know for sure is that he LOVED people so incredibly well, especially his family. He could never stop telling me about all the people in his family he cared for and kept tabs on. It always seemed like his full time job to check in with those he loved, always his first priority. 

I will miss his warm kindness and his unwavering friendship for the rest of my life. One of the most special people I’ve ever met, and we are all poorer without him here with us in body. I am both completely devastated and also completely grateful for the chance to have witnessed his incredible soul. 

Monique, Sheila, little Shaun, I will be lifting you all up daily in love and prayer and I cannot even begin to imagine this hole in your life. Shaun loved you all SO, SO much. And to the rest of his family, especially his Mom, siblings, Auntie, nieces, nephews, etc. I know Shaun will be with you all in spirit as much as he thought of you in life. My love to all of you during this. ♥️

Shaun was more than a friend, he was my brother. One who loved me with all my flaws, helped me to feel safe when I was not, and kept a smile on my face. He, Mo, and the kids will always be my chosen family. I’ll love you forever and a day Shaun. 

I’ve known Shaun the majority of my life. He and my brother were great friends and went to the same high school in Topeka. 

I believe it was my 8th or 9th birthday and I was really in to wrestling. Shaun brought my my first “NWO Wolfpack” shirt. I was so happy to get that shirt I was jumping with excitement! He was a big brother to me even during my college years and when I pledged Alpha Phi Alpha. 

Because of his loving spirit and upstanding character I wanted to be an Alpha like him and a preacher like him as well. His life had a major impact on me and I am grateful to have known him. I’m praying for his wife and family. Please accept my condolences.

I met Shaun Ball my freshman year at K-State, and his life has had a profound impact on mine. Yes, we were friends, and yes we were fraternity brothers, but it went so much deeper. You see, I didn’t know Jesus when I met him, but Shaun still loved me. He was a young man in his 20s, who knew that he was called to preach. He became my first pastor, and I accepted Jesus at Bethel AME Church on March 28, 2002, during a service where his father, Euzell Ball, was preaching a Maundy Thursday message. Shaun baptized me into the faith a few weeks later. He counseled Akeia Haddox-Rossiter and I, officiated our wedding, and dedicated our first-born daughter, Asha. He was 5 months older than me. Meeting Shaun Ball changed my life forever. I can’t believe that he’s gone. Please keep his wife, his two beautiful children, and his whole family in your prayers as they deal with this tragic loss. Shaun was a man who loved BIG, so I know that a lot of people are hurting. Words fall short, but I know a Savior who will comfort you and hold your hand as you grieve. Shaun knew Him, and thanks to him.....so do I. Do you? Rest well, Rev Shaun Ball. I'll see you on the other side, bro.

I remember Shaun as a little boy, when his father pastored my church, Greater Brown Chapel in Topeka Ks. He was the baby of the Ball children, so sweet and kind, as he was in adulthood also. What I remember most was his thumb in his mouth, and his head laying on his mother's shoulder as his father preached.
