

A time to be born was Mrs. Sheila Ann Washington Seay in San Francisco, California on May 11, 1954 to the union of Dorothy and the Late Otto “Cricket” Washington , Jr. She was the 2nd child of seven children. Sheila grew up in the Westside/Northtown neighborhoods of Las Vegas, NV.
She received her education in the Las Vegas public school system, Graduating from Western High in 1972. Sheila furthered her education at the College of Southern Nevada in the Secretarial & Accounting field. She started within the workforce at the Las Vegas Club working several years directly for the late Jackie Gaughan. Later, Sheila accepted a position at the Nevada Test site as a Security Clearance Specialist & Accountant. For the betterment of life, she moved her family, met her husband and worked in Tonopah, Nevada for 18 years. As a sports fanatic, she played softball for many years, but then took a seat to become everyone’s cheerleader of any event that was presented to her. Sheila along with majority of the Washington family are lifetime fans, except the late Cricket, who matched her devoted husband, a die hard fan.
As a young woman, without reservation and with boldness she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr./Rev. Sylvester S Rogers. Sheila later moved her membership to begin fellowship with Victory Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Robert Fowler, and continued membership with the current leader of Victory BC.
A very active member of the community with Mahogany Divas: Ladies~ Leading by Example, while paving the way for others to do the same. With a high level of integrity, respect and knowledge, and dedicated women, they are passionate and committed to making positive changes within the communities as well as society at large.
Sheila, a dedicated and devoted wife and mother, caring daughter, supportive sister and a loyal and trustworthy friend was a very particular woman with standards of grace and elegance in her dress. You could almost guarantee she was setting a trend wherever she went.
Sheila Ann leaves to cherish her memories-her devoted and loving husband of 28 years.
