Sherri D. Sullivan was born on December 27, 1972, to Ronald (Ronnie) W. and Mattie L. Sullivan in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was the oldest of three children (Sherri, Brian, and Adrian) born to this union. Their names are She also had two half siblings; Ronald Jr. and Friday Sullivan.
Sherri was born with special needs and attended Helen J. Stewart School. Upon completing her education, she received training and employment at Opportunity Village for approximately five years. While there, she participated in their Special Olympics Program where she excelled in racing and throwing the shot putt. She earned several metals in each category.
Sherri grew up in a loving home and was dearly loved by her family and friends. She was her mom’s constant companion. Although she sometimes seemed shy and reluctant to talk to and around strangers. Sherri had a loving and friendly personality once she got to know you. When at home, she was quick to greet you, ask how you are doing, extend her hand for a handshake, and say “Sit down”! or “Have a seat.”
She enjoyed dancing, listening to music and singing along whether at home or riding in the car. However, her favorite thing was riding in the car. When riding with Brian, she never wanted it to end and often asked immediately when they could do it again. She enjoyed watching cartoons. She also enjoyed eating hamburgers or chicken and freely expressed her desires, likes and dislikes.
Sherri departed this life on August 6, 2026. Her father, Ronald Sullivan and her brothers, Ronald Sullivan Jr and Adrian Sullivan preceded her in death. She leaves behind her mother, Mattie Sullivan of Nevada; one brother, Brian Sullivan (Tabitha) of Maryland; and one sister, Friday Sullivan of Alabama, many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary - Downtown, 1325 North Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101, US, on August 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and a Committal Service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
