SHIRLEE SURANOWITZ Shirlee Suranowitz, 72, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011. "Hello Love of My Life, I miss you and love you more now that you are gone than I ever realized in our 40 years of marriage. 40 years is not enough! Now I realized how stupid I was to have those stupid, stupid, silly arguments with you over nothing really significant or important. Just to prove that I was right and you were wrong, when in actuality you were more right on most occasions than I was. What a waste of time and love. With your Love and Understanding and Patience we raised four wonderful children, Valerie Joyce, Robert Joyce, Mark Suranowitz and Michelle Madison, all with different personalities and areas of expertise. You had the gift of loving precious life and bringing it to all types of people. You brought fun and happiness and good times and cheers wherever you went and to whomever you met. You never met a person you didn't like or couldn't like. All people loved you and you loved them in return. But your greatest joy in life was to be a great mother and grandmother and you excelled in both tasks and you were the lifeline of our family. You had so many talents and were so creative. Just to name a few, designer and creator of exquisite gift baskets, special creation of gift bears and clothes, original and unique event planner of weddings, tap dancer extraordinaire with the Peggy Ryan's Rebels, gourmet chef to our family and friends, critique of food and cooking shows, decorating unique and artistic holiday creations for all festive occasions as Christmas, Valentine's Day and Thanksgiving, excellent and splendid interior design decorator, planner, arranger and coordinator and a great animal lover as evidenced by hand-feeding Angel and Precious everyday rain or shine 24/7. You evolved in your search for religious happiness from Catholicism to Judaism to Mormonism and found it. All My Love - Forever And A Day. Super-Dad, a.k.a. Moi. P.S. I can hardly wait to go to bed so I can dream of us being together again!" Shirlee was born Jan. 6, 1939, in Buffalo, Wyo. Shirlee is survived by her husband, of 40 years, Martin Suranowitz; two sons, Robert Joyce and Mark Suranowitz; two daughters, Valerie Joyce and Michelle Madison; two sisters, Patricia Shaner and JoAnne Shaves; two brothers, Jerry Terry and Chuck Terry; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, with services to following at noon, both at Palm Hurst Ward, 7800 W. Alta Drive, Las Vegas. Interment will follow the services at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, (702) 464-8460.
