Shirley Ellen Lester of Goodyear, Arizona passed on September 7, 2026, at the age of 80. Shirley was born in Brooklyn, NY to Teddy and Esther Ratner (nee Markman).
Shirley worked as an administrative assistant for her local congressman in NY (Charles Schumer). She later moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1993, where she owned and operated a bar/restaurant, and then retired and moved to Goodyear, AZ.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two sons, Jason Levine (Jessica) and Michael Levine (Ivy); brother, Marvin Ratner; and four grandchildren, Lillian, Randy, Ethan, and Andrew.
Shirley was most proud to be called "Grandma Shirley" and always put family first - a very proud mother, grandmother, and friend. May you Rest In Peace - we LOVE you very much and will MISS you!
Services will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Palm Northwest Mortuary & Cemetery, 6701 N Jones Blvd., Las Vegas 89131.
