Shirley Ann Luther, born July 25, 1938, in Newman Grove, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She spent 18 years proudly serving with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department,where she made lifelong friends and plenty of memories. After retiring, she enjoyed life at her own pace with her four-legged sidekick, Squeaky the cat
She is survived by her two sons, Joel (Kelly) and Craig (Candy), as well as grandchildren and a great-grandchild, all of Las Vegas. The grandchildren referred to her as G-Ma because calling her grandma makes her feel “old”.
In keeping with Shirley’s style, her life will be remembered casually—through the stories she left behind, shared over laughter and maybe a couple dollars in a local casino.
