Sol Shocket, 93, of Las Vegas passed away Monday May 2nd 2016 at Nathan Adelson Hospice. Sol was born in Youngstown, Ohio to his parents Sam and Vera Shocket. After serving in the Merchant Marines during WWII he settled in Los Angeles and met and married Marilyn, the love of his life. Sol never met a challenge he wouldn't tackle. While raising a family and being a successful entrepreneur, he also earned three college degrees, including a PhD in Economics. In addition to excelling in business, teaching college, being a devoted family man and friend, he also pursued and shared his passion of traveling the world. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn, sons Neil, Sam, David and Bruce, and nine grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, May 6th, 2016 at 2 pm at the Palm Northwest Mortuary at 6701 North Jones Blvd. Las Vegas NV.
