

Steven Mark Emerson, 53, of Las Vegas, passed away February 9, 2011. He was born September 27, 1957, in Santa Maria, California, and was a resident of Nevada since 1969. Steve was a commercial construction field superintendant and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 1977 for over 30 years. He graduated from Clark High School in 1975, was an avid sportsman, loved hunting and fishing and Dutch oven cooking and working. Above all, he loved his family, friends and what he did. Steve is survived by his wife, Deborah L. Emerson; stepson, David Richard Hinton; son, Steven Arthur Emerson; daughter, Tiffany Violet Emerson; mother, Marjean Emerson; father, Gordon Emerson, all of Las Vegas; sisters, Janet (Don) Combs of Lewisville, Texas, Cecily Markland of Mesa, Arizona, and Becky (Terry) Lacouture of Las Vegas; brother, Kevin (Kathy) Emerson of Parker, Cololado; sister, Sherri (Tom) Matyas of Las Vegas; mother-in-law, Violet Beckel of North Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Karey (Eric) Bleak of St. George, Utah; and numerous nieces, nephews and great friends. Visitation will be from 10 am - noon Saturday, February 12, with services following, both at the LDS church building, 5800 Carl (Carl and Saylor).
