

Theodore William Alm, 75, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away on August 5, 2015. He was born to Margaret Mary (Treinen) and Carl John Alm on May 12, 1940 in Morris, Minnesota. Ted grew up in Minnesota, attended the University of Minnesota, and honorably served a tour of duty in the U.S. Army. He met and married the love of his life, Shirley, on August 5, 1967. Together, they lived in Minnesota where they raised their children until 1981, when they relocated to California. A successful businessman in both California and Minnesota; Ted served as president of Pacific Coast Brush; and as president of the Chamber of Commerce. Ted liked reading, sports, spending time with family, and checking up on his stocks; he had a passion for investing and finances. Ted was an avid golfer, loved to travel, but was happiest at the lake in Minnesota fishing and telling his stories. Ted is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley; children: Scott, Natalie, Mary, Lance and Sheri; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and his brother Gary.
