Ted Kamo Jr., 66, of North Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 19, 2012. Ted was born Jan. 21, 1946 in Rockford, Ill. and was a resident of Nevada since the early 1980's. He was a retired SSG in the U.S. Army who served in Vietnam, and was a tank ordinance specialist. He was a member of Paralyzed Veterans America and the Wheelchair Bowling Association. He is survived by his wife, Pepsi Kamo; his son, Nathan (Gina) Kamo of Las Vegas; daughter, Jamie (Aaron) Losch of Las Vegas; sons, Derrick Kamo of North Las Vegas and Martin Kamo of Fort Wayne, Ind.; stepsons, Kent (Michelle) Kangas and Keith (Jen) Kangas, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; stepdaughter, Karen (Mike) Hord of McArthur, Calif.; sisters, Myra (David) Hardie and Holly (Robin) Desai; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 1:20 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.
