Thelma Maddox, 93 departed this life on April 20, 2010. She was born May 27,1916, in Mt. Holly, Arkansas. Thelma worked for Chrysler Corporation of Detroit, Michigan for 19 years and worked as a Hotel Supervisor until retirement. Thelma will be best remembered as a loving and graceful person with a classic style and sense of humor. Thelma especially enjoyed socializing and travel, and her charity of choice was The March of Dimes. She was also a member of People's Community Church of Detroit, Michigan for many years. Thelma lived in Detroit until 2000, then relocated with her family to Las Vegas, Nevada. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Leola Turner Cowser; a brother Alvin Cowser; and a sister Vernon O. Woods. She is survived by her son, Earl (Claudette) Sanders, granddaughter Monica, grandson Erik (Berlian), great grandchildren: Erika and Vernard Sanders, all of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a host of relatives.
