Thomas Edward Brooks

Thomas Edwards Brooks was born in Chicago, Illinois, October 8, 1935. He was the fourth of seven children born to John Norwood Brooks Sr. and Madelyn Louise Brooks. Thomas attended and graduated from both Betsy Ross Elementary and Englewood High School in Chicago, Illinois. On May 15, 1958 Thomas joined the United States Army and retired March 31, 1979 as Sargeant Thomas Edward Brooks in the state of Hawaii, where he then decided to reside until moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. Thomas was a true believer in Jesus. He had a fulfilling life, traveling, enjoying life to the fullest and caring for the family. Preceding him in death is Daddy, Mama, Chubbie, Jimmie, Cassie, Buzzie and Mousie. Thomas departed his fulfilling life on July 24, 2015. Left to share his memory is his “Baby sister”, Shirley Ann Brooks and a host of nieces and nephews, great, great-great, great-great-great and great-great-great-great nieces and nephews. I sincerely appreciate and are very grateful for the many words of comfort and other expressions of love and kindness.
