Thomas Joseph McCarthy, a 19 year Las Vegas resident passed away with his family beside him July 21, 2020 at the age of 83 following a stroke. Tom was born on March 14, 1937 to Thomas and Elbis McCarthy in Detroit and resided most of his life in Troy, Mi. Prior to his retirement in sales, Tom and his wife traveled the world which he loved doing. Tom was a kind, loving and brave man with a great sense of humor who loved his family most of all. He was an only child and was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Barbara (Grassa), children Laura Yono(Steve), Kathleen McCarthy and Thomas J. McCarthy III (Chris). Popster will be missed by his granddaughters Alexandria, Madeleline and Samantha Yono. He is loved and will be missed terribly. No memorial service at this time due to COVID-19.
