Thomas Shelton Spear, 61, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Thomas was born November 17, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United Sates Air Force and serviced during the Vietnam War, Desert Storm and Iraq. Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter Kristy Lynn Spear-Grider. He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Linda Marie Spear; his son: Sean Thomas Spear; his son in law: Michael Grider; his sister: Terry Rush and her husband John; his brother: Richard Spear and his wife Cathy; and 2 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at Palm Mortuary – Northwest at 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 1:20 pm at Southern Nevada Veterans’ Memorial Service at 1900 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City, NV 89005.
