Tierra C. Bentley

Tierra was born on February 9, 1996 at UMC in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her parents were Tamika Lashaul and Damaen Bentley. Tierra was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. When she was young, Tierra's friends and family found that “straightforward” and “honest” were perfect words to describe her. Tierra grew up with six siblings. She had one older sister, Teosha, four younger brothers, Damon, Damaen, Damon, Tremain, and one younger sister, Teneya. Tierra was constantly involved in all sorts of activities with her family. As a young girl, Tierra was imaginative, ingenious, clever and a “novel” thinker. Regardless of whether her peers were older or younger, or came from different backgrounds, Tierra could easily relate to other kids. She was a girl scout. In her spare time she liked to do her make up and take pictures. However, to Tierra, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her many friends. Throughout her life she had many friends. Some of her best friends were Jamesha, Angel and Adrianna. Tierra’s faith was important to her. She was a member of Lord of Hosts Community Center. During that time, she took part of Praise Dancing. She was compassionate and warm hearted, someone who truly cared for others and that was clearly demonstrated in her work with the congregation. Though she never did anything solely for individual recognition, Tierra was given accolades for her many and varied efforts throughout her life. If the truth were known, Tierra was always a little uncomfortable with being singled out for recognition. Some of her most prestigious awards included A B Honor Roll. Tierra was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of Tierra's favorite was Jordan, a pomeranian shih tzu. They were best friends for five or six years. Tierra passed away on June 21, 2013 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tierra fought a brave battle against severe asthma. She is survived by her parents, Tamika and Damaen, and her siblings, Teosha, Damon, Damaen, Damon, Tremain, Teneya. Services were held at Palm Mortuary Downtown. Tierra was laid to rest in Palm Mortuary Downtown.
