Umasankar Das

Umasankar Das was born December 18th, 1938, in Dhaka Bikrampur Bangladesh. He grew up in Dhaka and graduated in Science from Bongo Bashi college Kolkata. Umasankar Das worked for Ordnance Factory Jawahar Nagar , Bhandara ,Maharashtra. He married Asrukana Das in 1973. Umasankar and Asrukana shared their love and life together in their home in Kolkata India.

Umasankar Das was a very down to earth and religious person. He loved reading and traveling. He spent lot of time organizing Ram Krishna Movement and was instrumental in building a Ram Krishna Temple in Jawahar Nagar Bhandara. He has some great friends who can do anything for each other.

Umasankar is survived by his wife, Asrukana and their children Dr Samrat Das of Las Vegas and Sreerupa Das of Hartford, Grandchildren Sharmelle Das, Anoushka Das and Sagnik Das. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other family members will deeply miss Umasankar Das.
