Valerie Marie Cruz, 19 passed away on May 6, 2011. She was born February 22, 1992 in Glendora, California and had been a 14 year resident of Las Vegas. She was a member of Sunshine Kids and Teen Scene. She loved penguins and video games. She is survived by her father, Ray Cruz and sister, Celina Cruz, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Nadine Cruz and Rayleene Cruz, both of Hartford, Connecticut, four nephews, also in Hartford, Connecticut, and many more family and friends. Visitation will be at Palm Memorial Park and Chapel, 6701 N. Jones Boulevard, on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, with Funeral Service to follow at 6:00pm. Donations in her memory will be gratefully accepted by Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, Candlelighters and Make A Wish Foundation.
