Victor R. Harlan, 90, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. He was born April 27, 1924, in Aldan, Pa., and was a 60-year resident of Las Vegas. Victor served in the U.S. Navy Coast Guard during World War II. He was a current local business owner, previous construction company owner, avid sportsman, world traveler and member of many civic organizations. Victor was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was always there when you needed him and was known for his big heart. Victor was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings. Victor is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters, Dana (John), Kim (John) and Dennice (Rob); sons, Norman (Sue) and Tyran (Donna); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous friends. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Palm Mortuary-Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131. Burial following at Palm Memorial Park-Northwest. Victor will be deeply missed and will remain in our hearts forever. "Rest in peace."
