Victor "Tio Stevie" Mercado, age 46, of Las Vegas, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 in Las Vegas. Born February 15, 1968 in Mexico City, he had been a Las Vegas resident since 1974. Mr. Mercado was manager at Viva Mercado's Restaurant. He was a member of the Board of Realtors and was a generous donor to several charities, especially Shade Tree. He was preceded in death by his wife Kim, and brother Eddie Mercado. Survivors include his brothers Robert (Amy) Mercado and James (Debra) Mercado, sisters Olga Cantoral, Lisa (Murray) Petersen and Carolina Mercado and countless nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., where family will receive friends one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Shade Tree.
