Virginia Mahoney, age 70, a retired beloved elementary school teacher at Pembrooke Lakes Elementary, passed away July 9, 2015. She was born October 28, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, and had been a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada since 2006. Virginia loved card games, mysteries and spending ti.e with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jean Week. Virginia is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Mahoney; daughter, Kerry (Donald) Mitchell; son, Michael Adrian; grandchildren, Allison and Aaron Mitchell; brother, Edward Welk; and sisters, Denise Renie and Karla Dobbeck. All services will be private. Arrangements under the direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
