Voydean (Sally) Washington was born on October 27th, 1933 in Fannin, Mississippi to Johnnie and Minnie Lee Washington. Shortly after her birth, Voydean's father passed away. While living in Chicago, Voydean worked as a secretary and a court reporter. In 1966, Voydean and her children relocated to Los Angeles where she continued her work as a court reporter for the County of Los Angeles. A year later, she met Herman Mack and, in 1969, they were married. During the following years, Voydean resumed her education at West Los Angeles College and USC. In 1973, the couple relocated to Palm Springs and spent 51 years there enjoying the desert lifestyle and traveling the world. In 2024, the couple moved to Las Vegas to be closer to family. On October 16th, 2025, 11 days before her 92nd birthday, God called her home.
