

Walter J. Behrens Sr., 90, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away peacefully on June 7th, 2026. Born in Jersey City, NJ on December 26, 1935 to Frederick and Marie Margarete (née Ott) Behrens. Walter attended Teaneck High School and was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in biology, Walter was a dedicated federal employee. First with the Food and Drug Administration and then with the Drug Enforcement Administration, retiring in 1985, to Chautauqua Lake in New York, where he enjoyed boating and fishing.
He was a lover of classical music. An avid Giants baseball fan. A devout Buffalo Bills fan, he served as the team's drug program coordinator for ten years.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Frederick Behrens and John Behrens. His first wife, Arlene Corrao (née Tomaszewski), a daughter Wendy Behrens, and stepson Joseph Cammarata. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Grace Behrens. His son, Walter Behrens Jr., daughter Diane Eaton and her husband Steven. Grandsons Joshua Behrens and his wife, Gina and Spencer Eaton. Stepchildren John Cammarata and his wife Cherryl, Anna Maria Falzo, Martin Cammarata and his wife Ann, Bruno Lazzaro, and step-granddaughter Miranda Cammarata.
A celebration of life is planned.
