Walter Joseph (Walt) Jungblut, 84, of North Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016. He was born June 11, 1931, to Gertrude and Walter Jungblut, in Chicago, IL. Walt served in the United States Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and was a 20 year Veteran. He worked for the Clark County School District in the Purchasing Division for 25 years. Walt is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Anne; children, Walter Jungblut (Mary), Jackie Winger, Janis Rice (Kevin), Jean Mumpower (Mark) and Jim Jungblut (Joan). He was lovingly referred to as “Papa” by his eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Rest in peace Walt/Dad, you will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation will be Mon. 4/18 from 4-7pm at Palm Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, 89131. Funeral Mass will be 9:30am, Tues. 4/19 at St. John Neumann, 2575 W. El Campo Grande, N. Las Vegas, 89031 with burial to follow at 12pm at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
