Drew Musial,62, passed away peacefully at home with family after fighting a very courageous 19 month battle with pancreatic cancer. We are so proud of his strength and determination, as he refused to let his diagnosis slow him down.
Drew was born December 7, 1958 and raised in Ventura, California. It was there where he met the love of his life, Stacie, and began building a family he was very proud of. Drew had a very big heart, and every decision and plan he made revolved around family. Drew’s zest for life was not hidden. His loyalty to his friends knew no bounds. He never met a person he couldn't strike up a conversation with, and everyone who knew him was very aware of his passion to make everyone around him happy and their tummies full. No one left his home without getting a taste of his food and his many stories. Drew left an immeasurable impact on so many peoples' lives, and he will be missed by many. He had many passions in life, such as visiting National Parks, spending weekends out on the lake, running to his favorite rides at Disneyland, fishing in his favorite spots, attending concerts, cheering on the Vegas Golden Knights, and entertaining at home. Ever as important were passions throughout his life such as the youth club of DeMolay which led him to many lifelong friendships and eventually meeting his wife, fishing Lake Casitas with high school buddies, customizing his mini truck during his Street Survivors days, going on truck runs, building his K5 Blazer and off-roading with ATC’s. He was always planning the next adventure, no matter how big or small. Drew was a devoted Disney fan, and it seems appropriate to mention a quote for him now. “"Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. Dreams are forever." -Walt Disney.
Drew was preceded in death by his beloved father and mother, Walter Joseph and Mary Jane Musial. He is survived by his loving wife, Stacie, of 37 years; sons Ryan (Melissa), Shawn, and Kyle; adored granddaughters Natalie and Abby; sister Ellen; as well as so many extended family members, parents-in-laws, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, his nephew, and countless friends.
Thank you to Nathan Adelson Hospice who prioritized Drew’s comfort, as well as the support provided to his family. In lieu of flowers, the Musial family would appreciate donations to PanCAN in Drew’s name, to provide relief and resources to other patients and families in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held in both Las Vegas, NV and Ventura, CA. He would want food and laughter as he is remembered and celebrated, and Drew’s family will send details as the plans are made.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmcheyenne.com for the Musial family.
