Walter Szymanski

Walter Szymanski, age 78, of Las Vegas, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Las Vegas. Born April 20, 1936 in Newark, New Jersey, he had been a Las Vegas resident for twenty years. Mr. Szymanski worked as a sales representative in the beer industry. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. O'Callahan SJ Assembly 2820, Holy Spirit Council #14784, Catholic War Veterans Our Lady of Peace, Post 1947, all in Las Vegas and Past Grand Knight of Council 3197 in New Jersey. He was a member of the American Legion after having served in the United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Geri; sons Ray (Terry) and Ron (Kara) Szymanski; grandchildren: Ireland and Ian. Funeral mass will be held 10am Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Blvd. Family will receive friends from 3-7pm Monday at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S.
