June was born August 30, 1929, to Owna and Martha Stahl at their home in Waukon, Iowa, and passed away May 25, 2025, at the age of 95. Born the eldest of eight children, she was a natural caretaker and steady presence from the very beginning. Her family moved to Milwaukee, WI, in 1942, and there she met her husband, Robert “Bob” Sager. They were married on October 27, 1951. She and Bob had two daughters and moved to California in 1957. She became a widow in 1984 and moved back to Milwaukee, WI, to be with her mother and lovingly cared for her for many years. When her mother passed away in 2004, she moved in with two of her sisters, and they were very fondly referred to as the “Golden Girls.” She relocated to Las Vegas, NV, with her daughter Sandy in 2016, where she remained until her passing.
June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, three brothers, three sisters, and her beloved grandson Mark Flores. She was the proud and devoted mother to two daughters, Sandra (Virgil) Boyer and Kathleen (Mike) Harris. Her love extended with joy and pride to her grandchildren: Elena (Sonny) Morgan, Robert (Allyson) Flores, Hillary Harris Couron, and Marci Harris. Great-grandchildren include Jonathan (Stephanie) Flores, Haylee Couron, Gavin Lara, Nathan Lara, Ava Flores, Sofia Flores, Violet Lara, and one great-great-grandson, Liam Flores. She is also survived by her sister Darlene Lemke and many nieces and nephews.
She was the heart of her family — a woman whose gentle spirit and sweet nature touched everyone she met. It was often said — by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her — that she was the sweetest person they had ever met. And it was true. Her kindness wasn’t loud or showy; it was constant, comforting, and genuine. To honor June, we ask that you carry her spirit forward — be kind, love deeply, and never miss a chance to make someone feel special.
She was and always will be our sweetest soul.
A service will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123, with a celebration of life to follow.
Fond memories and heartfelt condolences may be left for the Sager family at www.palmnorthwest.com.
