Werdna S Conrad

On Friday, February 24th, 2023, Werdna Smith Conrad passed away at the age of ninety. She was one of five children to Otis and Anna Belle Smith, born in Dumont, Texas on June 9th, 1932 and later moved to Farmington, New Mexico where she graduated high school. She relocated to Greeley, Colorado where she raised her two children. In 1988, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Soon after arriving she went into the trucking business and was the owner of Werdco Trucking. She enjoyed volunteering at numerous organizations throughout the Las Vegas Valley, and also enjoyed quilting as a hobby. Werdna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George P. Williams, siblings Ima Jo (Blackie) Ratcliff, Vera Fayne and Lee Otis Smith.

She is survived by her sons Stephen (Sue) Conrad of Arvada, Colorado, Brent (Patricia) Conrad of Las Vegas, Nevada and William (Kathy) Williams of Pioche, Nevada. Her daughters Charla McGinnis of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Sandy Wells of Vancouver, Washington. Her brother W.T. (Mary) Smith, along with 13 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11:00A - 12:00P March 11th, 2023 at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas NV 89130, with service to follow at 12:00P. Interment immediately following at Bunkers Memory Garden, 7251 W Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas NV 89129. Funeral Service will be live streamed starting at 12:00P PST.
