

Wilbur Triplett was born October 14,1934, to William Roosevelt and Helen Jeanette Triplett in lola, Kansas. He had one brother William Triplett jr., and three sisters Wanda Moore Brown, Shirley Triplett and Cathlene Triplett, all of whom preceded Wilbur in death.
At an early age, Wilbur accepted Christ at Allen Chapel AME Church in lola, Kansas. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1945 and attended Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois. During that time, he
also played semi-pro baseball from 1952 to 1955. In 1956, Wilbur moved to San Diego, California and began a long dedicated career with the United States Postal Service. He retired in 1990 as an Express Mail Manager. On December 29, 1970 Wilbur was united in marriage to Norma Green. Their union was one of deep love and commitment that lasted over 50 years.
On May 4,2025, Wilbur was called home to rest in eternal peace at God's request. Wilbur was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma; his
children, Robin Armstrong (Antonio), Jill Triplett (Gerard), and Brandon Triplett (Denise); his grandchildren Brandy Triplett, Danielle Thompson, Nicole Thompson, and Kyle Wood; his great-grandchildren, Millauni Thompson and Alonzo Thompson; and two nephews that he helped raise, Dominick Collins and Deandre Gentry. He also leaves behind a host of relatives too numerous to name along with many dear friends
who will cherish his memory.
A memorial service for Wilbur will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Cheyenne, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129, followed by a reception from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
